The Tarot is a method of divination, not a fortunetelling
device. What is the difference? The term divination means "to
communicate with the Divine/God". As such every time you prepare to
consult the cards you are in fact opening to God. Their symbols are highly
spiritual in nature and represent world religions, the human condition, and
archetypes. Consulting the cards is therefore a sacred act of asking the
Divine for advice and inspiration. It is not a game, not for
entertainment, and not to tell you only the information you want to hear. In
essence, the art of Tarot is the act of prayer.
